(A love poem from Bill in Accounts receivable to Esther in Personnel after the TGI Fridays Monthly Team Spirit Mixer)
The optics may not be great, but…
Open Kimono here.
At the end of the day –
There’s an elephant in the room.
It just is what it is.
I want to lean in;
To think outside the box,
To put it in the pipeline
To take it to the next level
And I am sorry, not sorry…
Maybe this thought shower is just blue-sky thinking,
And we are not singing from the same hymn sheet.
But if we just grabbed the low hanging fruit
Wouldn’t that be a total win-win?
I don’t mean to disrupt.
And we can put this in the parking lot if we must.
But if you cared to step up the plate –
We could take this offline,
And, going forward, really get down on all fours
And see if teamwork can make the dreamwork.
I want to boil the ocean with you…
Literally.
